After winning with Andy Samberg in 2007 for “D— in a Box,” Timberlake picked up his second Creative Arts Emmy last weekend, for his guest-starring work on “Saturday Night Live.”

Among this year’s standout prime-time nominees is “American Idol,” which has eight nominations, including Ryan Seacrest’s nod for a reality-show host. “Mad Men” is up for 16 trophies. Every year since 1999, the Teen Choice Awards have honored, by popular vote, the year’s biggest achievements in music, movies, and television according to the 13-19 year-old demographic. This year the awards were hosted by the Jonas Brothers on Sunday, August 9th at the Gibson Amphitheater in California. Among the attendees were Heroes star Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) and ex-cast member Kristen Bell (Elle Bishop).

Spoiler Alert: Heroes won in the category of “Choice TV Show Action Adventure,” where it faced off with shows like ABC’s sci-fi drama Lost, Clark Kent’s Smallville, the now cancelled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and FOX’s 24. In the category of “Choice TV Actress Action Adventure,” Hayden Panettiere outvoted her fellow co-stars Ali Larter and Kristen Bell. All three actresses had been nominated for their roles in Heroes, as well as Kristen Kreuk from Smallville and Summer Glau (Terminator: TSCC).

The studs of Heroes were not as lucky. In the Category of “Choice TV Actor Action Adventure” Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli) lost to Smallville’s protagonist Tom Welling. Zachary Quinto’s Sylar was surpassed by Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl as “Choice TV Villain.”

Don’t forget to tune in FOX tonight to watch the 2009 Teen Choice Awards and the performance of Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears.
